All About Louisiana Fishing

  1. And it translates from Hawaiian to English as “delicious” or “good to eat”. Nice catch!

  2. the biggest fish ive caght is a 18 and a half inch flounder im young…. it is hard for me to do that      😛

  3. Biggest fish I’ve caught was a 135 pound 6 ft 3 in tarpon this summer in anna maria island florida right by Tampa I’d advise anyone whose in Florida and wants to go tarpon fishing to go try that area out on the north point of the beach that’s where I caught him and there was probably a school close to 15 of redfish right by there

  4. That captain there is pretty knowledgeable.  I really enjoyed the information he was throwing out there like how the wahoo is known as ono in Hawaii and translates to ‘delicious’.  That’s the kind of stuff I enjoy learning about along with all this great fishing man that’s some good stuff.

Interesting how you like using those blue rods which flex quite a bit.  I understand the concept that you want to feel the fish and you do feel them better with the more flexible rods but man, doesn’t that also translate into harder work, especially when you get into those 60lbs fish and bigger?

  5. oh man, what a wahoo!  My pops caught a couple, and one of them citation worthy, off the outer banks on a charter.  The year prior, on a very slow day for both charter boats, I got a huge Sailfish.  That sailfish wrecked me, I was in the chair on thier heaviest gear, sweatin like a whore in church!  Two years in a row, epic trips.  Goin back again in a few months.  Albatross Charters in case anyone is interested.  Best charter in Hatteras.  Awesome episode man! Oh and, wow, Wahoo is so delicious. Rivals Halibut for best tasting white fish Id say.

  6. I saw that rod at the Dicks here in Duluth MN….I had no idea what i might use it for, but i still wanted to buy it. Sturgeon off the bottom of superior maybe? Suggestions anyone?

  7. Hate the screaming loud fucking guitars! Why oh why the loud rock music, all the time?
